A man was killed by a police bullet during the demonstrations. Everywhere is on fire in Beşiktaş and the movement is still going on. I took the pictures from twitter. Following the demonstrations in Taksim, people took to the streets in Beşiktaş however, they met more police violence coupled by the painful effects of a gas bomb (allegedly ‘orange gas’ used by the US in Vietnam). A friend of mine who lives in Beşiktaş witnessed the whole event in situ and was affected by this dangerous, painful gas (she had a lot of tear gas in Taksim earlier and told me that the gas the police used in Beşiktaş was different and much more painful than an ordinary tear gas). Four people also got run over by a Toma and one person was killed by the run-over. WHAT IS THIS HAPPENING? WE ARE NOT AT WAR! A STATE CANNOT DECLARE WAR AGAINST ITS OWN PEOPLE! STOP POLICE VANDALISM AND VIOLENCE AGAINST THE PEOPLE OF TURKEY!
